Welcome to the DIFK Telugu badi.

About Us

***Our Motto is to teach our kids their mother tongue***

DIFK.e.v started Telugu Badi in 2017 with 3 kids and 1 teacher. Today, it has 40 kids divided into 4 different classes which are taught by 4 teachers, based on their level of Telugu.

Kids from 5 years of age can join the entry level class, which is designed to teach with short stories, rhymes, poems, and the alphabet. As the kids progress to the next level, they start to write alphabets, read short letter words, and learn poems.

Currently the elderly kids class in age from 10 to 15 years can read stories and write short essays in Telugu. Telugu Badi conducts exams four times a year to understand the learning of the kids. The kids are passionate and are highly driven to learn their mother tongue. Every Saturday at 8.30 am all the kids join their respective classes.

Telugu Badi provides a platform for every student to participate in cultural activities, dramas and events. Telugu Badi appreciates all the parents for their support and encouragement.

Vision: Kids should be able to communicate with their parents, grandparents and siblings in their mother tongue. This is the vision that drives me and the rest of our faculty. Since 2016, we have been committed to teach the kids in our and neighbouring communities the Italian of the east that is Telugu. With unprecedented support of all the parents and the organisational help of DIFK, we are proud to be where we are today.

I come from a family of teachers and I value the importance of good education. I strongly feel that language is the key for communication and exposure to multiple languages enhances kids intellectual abilities. It's an honor for me to pass on my knowledge in Telugu to kids through DIFK that is promoting Indian cultural activities in Germany.

We have been living in Germany for the past twenty years. I like being involved in social activities and especially enjoy being with kids. I believe it is important to teach kids the importance of communicating in mother tongue, besides knowing about motherland. I am very happy to be a part of DIFK that has been providing a good platform for various educational and cultural activities.
